National Disability Employment Awareness Month

The month is almost over but as someone who has worked in the mental health field for some time I am aware that October is a National Disability Employment Awareness Month. For any employers out there I can tell you from experience that people with disabilities will work harder for you and take extra care to make sure you are satisfied with their performance. I never liked the word disability so I chose to cut the dis out and only work with the ability. So pay a tribute to the accomplishments the people around you have made and celebrate the equal opportunity we have in this country.

You are Beautiful

I have seen way too many YouTube videos about anorexia lately and I cannot seem to stop thinking about all the girls/women out there who are struggling and suffering from anorexia or bulimia. Beauty=health+happiness. If you have neither then what is the point. Life is too fragile and precious to waste it away on what others think, live by your own rules and cherish your body like the temple it is. You only have ONE.

Positive attitude, Positive things

Sometimes we could all use some encouragement in thinking positively. When things are just not going your way, this can be a difficult task. Smile, even if you are hurting inside, because a smile or a laugh is an instant mood lifter.
