Few drinks are as festive as a margarita. And, aside from its deliciousness, perhaps the best thing about a margarita is its adaptability. It can be enjoyed in any season, and there are unlimited ways to dress it up!
Full disclosure: I am not a huge tequila fan, but I recently discovered Tanteo Tequila, and now, I am happy to report, I have found a tequila that I love (Tanteo Japapeño, over ice), mostly for its clean taste and the slow burn as it’s sipped. It is a 100 percent agave tequila, distilled, infused and bottled by hand in Juanacatlán, Mexico. And I love that the distillery is owned by its co-op of agave farmers.
It comes in four flavors-- Jalapeño (great with cucumber, apple and ginger), Chipotle (perfect with sweet fruit like pineapple and blackberry), super-spicy Habanero (lovely with mango and passionfruit) and higher proof Blanco (pairs beautifully with citrus), and each one is low in sugar.
